Dear Fellow Rotarians and Friends,
Tuesday, 16 May 2017 was a great Fellowship night. We welcomed our visitor, Shiver introduced by John Pillay. Apologies from Jock Cimino, Joe Cauchi, Frans Buskermolen and Peter Beadle.
Tonight, I showed 3 short video clips of inspirational and motivational leaderships including 8 ideal IQs and riddles for every member’s fun.
- Motivational video clip indicated that everybody needs to share any skills, knowledge and kindnesses while they are still alive and If they don’t share or do anything for the needy they will lose everything without passing on their own important stuff. This clip also indicated that the most important thing to run the club is to remember all the time about the club is. The club is simply having good people therefore a leader has to be a great listener, a great motivator, a very good at praising in looking the best people. The people are not different from the flowers. If you treat the flowers well enough from the florist the flowers will last for a long time. This is just a critical tribute of leader.
- Another short video clip called “How to turn a Negative situation into a Positive one by Brian Tracey”. This clip indicated that your abilities are to response positively in a negative situation and to allow yourself to let go off a negative feeling which is maybe a trap inside of you because of the thinking in the past that you can’t change.
Brian advised that “Accept completely own responsibility for every part of your life, refuse to blame others or make an excuse”. He also pointed out that the great business of life is to eliminate the negative emotions and take responsibility for yourself, your reactions and your responses. In conclusion Brian advised that we must say that “we are responsible for everything that we have done.”

“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle”.
“It’s easy to look at people and make quick judgements about them, their present and their past, but you’d be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides. What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often than not, it’s lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul. Never judge, learn to respect and acknowledge the feelings of another.”- Unknown.
“Every single person on the planet has a story. Do not judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.”
“If you are bitten by snake what’s the best thing to do? Remain Calm, Separate the poison from the rest your body, suck your poison out. Worst thing to do: Get upset, Chase and kill snake. Same when someone strikes out at you verbally. Remain calm do not try to strike back at the person. Do not let the poison spread throughout your system”- Anonymous.
