Dear Rotarians & Friends,
Tuesday’s Dinner Meeting was a fellowship night, we had apologies from John Gibbs, Jock Cimino, Joe Cimino and Sam Capra. A good lot of frivolity and fellowship followed.
Following the meeting a Club Board Meeting was held, we resolved to again support the Green Valley Police Youth Camp and to assist in the establishment of an Interact Club at Casula High School.
You will recall the Club is supporting two clean water projects in Fiji, we have purchased all the equipment for the village in Ba – John Pillay will be going over to install it shortly. The second project in Sigatoka is dependent on a successful bore being but down – the installation of the water supply will be supervised paid for by Yaaedin Vision, when complete and if work is to our satisfaction we will reimburse them on the basis of paid invoices.
We do not have a normal meeting next week – we are having a Vocational Visit to Liverpool District’s Men Shed (see details below). Members, their wives, partners and guests are invited and no it is not “Secret Men’s Business”. After the visit we will adjourn to the Macquarie Hotel for dinner and refreshments.
All the best Alvan.
Next Club Meeting:
Tuesday, 23 February 2016 – 6:00 for 6:30 pm – Vocational Visit to Liverpool District Men’s Shed, 31 Shepherd Street Liverpool. (It is the last building on the left in the cul-de-sac on the road to the Casula Powerhouse). This will be followed by dinner at the Macquarie Hotel, 269 Macquarie Street, Liverpool (Parking is available in the multi-storey carpark in Northumberland Street – enter the hotel through the rear entrance in Northumberland Service way).
