At last week’s meeting apologies were received from Rinna Ly, Russell Soedjadi, Alan Hall and Peter Beadle.
President Jim inducted new member Tissa Perera into the Club. Tissa has been attending meetings for some time and during that time has made himself known to Members, he lives locally and has been involved in working for the Community for many years and actively supports a Charity he founded that provides educational scholarships to underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Welcome on board Tissa.
The meeting was suspended to commence the Annual General Meeting.
The Annual Financial Statements were presented by Treasurer Gary. It was moved by Gary and seconded by Joe Cauchi that” It be resolved that the Annual Financial Statements, including the notes and reports for the year ended 30 June 2018 be accepted by the members.” Carried.

At the conclusion of the AGM President Jim resumed the Dinner Meeting.
President Jim reported that he had been inundated with requests from other organisations to run BBQ’s for them. The most imminent one to be held at on 30 November was for the Army Barracks at Holsworthy. Others require further investigation.
President advised that it is likely that Natalia would arrive in Australia (Liverpool) on Monday 3 December 2018 and spend a week while her suitability for operations is assessed.
Youth Director Sam Capra advised that he had received application for School Awards from 21 schools.
The members congratulated Past President John Pillay on his appointment as an Assistant District Governor.

Friday, 30 November 2018 – BBQ at Holsworthy Barracks, Heathcote Road. If you are working we must assemble at the front gate to be escorted in as a group at 0845 hours.
Monday, 3 December 2018 – Vocational Visit to Wetherill Park TAFE for a Christmas Buffet Dinner prepared and served by Catering and Hospitality Students. Those that have booked should be there by 6:30 pm. A “Christmas Cocktail” is included and a Cash Bar will be in operation for other drinks.

We have agreed to conduct a Sausage Sizzle on the day, with a difference. We will also be offering Meat Pies. Catering for up to 70 invited guests, feeding cadets and band plus any guests. More details when they come to hand.
Alec Muggleton Memorial Golf Day – will be held on Friday, 17 May 2019, this gives everyone time to work on their game. Autism Advisory and Support Service operating from 88 Memorial Ave Liverpool will be the beneficiary of the day. Grace Fava their Founder and CEO will be providing support in organising this event. Vocational Night will be held at “The Restaurant” at Wetherill Park TAFE. Wetherill Park on Monday 3rd December 2018. It will be a Christmas Buffett for $45.00 per head will be provided and they are fully licenced. This will be supporting a local TAFE’s as all menu planning, cooking and service is provided by the College’s Hospitality and Commercial Cookery Students.
We have a booking for 20 people and a commitment sheet is being circulated – partners and guests are welcome. The cost will be collected on 13th and 20th November 2018 as payment is required in advance
The Club’ Christmas dinner meeting will be at the Black Rose Restaurant in Liverpool again this year on Tuesday, 18th December 2018 – 6:30 for 7 pm the cost will be $40 for members one partner or guest of each member will also be able to attend for the same price.
Annual Circus – Subject to approval by Liverpool Council our annual Circus will be held in the Grounds of Bonnyrigg Sports Club, Elizabeth Drive, Bonnyrigg, NSW over three days - Friday 3 May, Saturday 4 May and Sunday 5 May 2019. The Circus will staged by Brophy International Productions they will also be doing the Fairy Floss, Popcorn and Drinks. As a Club will need to get the guests to the Tent where Brophy’s will take over and this year for the first time we will also be providing a sausage sizzle from our BBQ Trailer and selling drinks. There will be 3 sessions each day and we will need around 6 volunteers for each session.

Applications are now open for RYLA 2019 (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). 6th – 12th January 2019 at YMCA Camp Yarramundi. Camp starts Sunday 6th January 2019 afternoon (4pm) and Graduation is after morning tea (guests are invited) on Saturday 12th January 2019 (mid-day). 60 spaces are available.
