Meeting – 25 June 2019

Tuesday’s meeting was well attended and very busy with a Club forum and Combined Board Meeting on top of it. Apologies were received from Geoff Gibbs, Tara Sharma and John Pillay.

President Jim is feeling comfortable with the Changeover preparations for the meal, room layout, etc. being finalised with Mounties.

Concern was expressed about Natalia’s setback from bleeding having been occurring between the sutures in one area that had been operated on. As a consequence, Jim has been spending many hours at Liverpool Hospital.

Secretary Alvan has received an email from the son of Frank Hankin PHF advising that the stalwart of the Sydney Night Patrol having reached the age of 85 is not in good health. Frank worked tirelessly at the Sydney Night Patrol assisting some of Liverpool’s homeless people for 24 years.

Treasurer Gary has collected all the monies from members who are attending the Changeover Dinner and advised that membership dues notifications will be dispatched next week.

Frans Buskermolen has been involved in organising a load of 85 chairs to be transported to the Trundle School and has also collected some donations for them which will be sent west shortly.

Two Club forum items were discussed and finalised.

Our Club’s Annual Changeover Dinner will be held on Saturday 29 June 2019 at Mounties, 101 Meadows Road, Mt Pritchard

There will be no weekly meeting held on Tuesday, 2 July 2019, the next meeting will be on Tuesday, 9 July 2019. Our Guest Speaker will be Sister Anne from the Sisters of Charity who will speak on working with Schools in Drought effected areas.

Our members raffle jackpot remains intact and will be $190 on 9th July – that is 190 reasons to come along.
