Sam Capra reported that the generator for the Turbans 4 Australia Food Van had been purchased and delivered.
Sam confirmed that the fundraising event to benefit Youth of the Streets Outreach Service will be held on Friday 19th June 2020 at the Paradiso Function Centre in Macquarie Street Liverpool. A committee was established to start organising this event indicative ticket prices are $110 per head or $1,000 for a table of 10. Now is the time to reach out to your friends and business associates to get their support for this function either by attending or donating raffle prizes for the night. It is shaping up to be a great night.
Members were reminded that a Special General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 31 March 2020 to consider adoption of a new Club Constitution. A copy of this and the Club’s Bylaws will be circulated to all Members prior to the meeting.
Youth Service Director, Tissa Perera also advised that applications for RYPEN close on 20 March 2020 and that if members know of suitable candidates, they should contact him as soon as possible.
RYPEN, The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment, is for young people aged 14 to 16 years and caters for teenagers who have shown qualities of decency, courage, persistence, sincerity, and application in everyday life, which deserve further development.
RYPEN uses the common bonds of learning, co-operation, and friendship to design activities which facilitate trust and self-esteem. RYPEN seeks to broaden each participant’s horizons culturally, socially, and academically, providing the inner foundations for a strong future.
On 10 March 2020 Noor Jarbou will be our guest speaker. Noor is the recipient of an Australian Rotary Health Research Scholarship co-funded by our Club.

Vocational Night – Tuesday 23 March Liverpool Police Centre
Chief Superintendent Adam Whyte has invited Club Members to visit Liverpool City Police Command for a Vocational visit and tour of the facilities. Meet at the Police Centre and Cells, George Street, Liverpool at 6:30pm. We will have dinner at Club Liverpool (opposite) following the tour. A commitment sheet will be circulated on 3 March as we need to advise numbers. Members, Partners and Guests are welcome.

Unwanted Eye Glasses Urgently Required for Sri Lanka
If you have any old glasses lying around your home please bring them to the meeting on 10 March. Tissa will package them up and send them to Sri Lanka where they will be distributed to the needy.

Cops and Kids Touch Football – Thursday, 9 April 2020
Brown’s Farm Reserve. First Avenue, Hoxton Park. From 9:30 to 2 pm. The Police arrange all the sausages, onions, bread rolls, fruit and water we just need to prepare, cook and serve and be on site around 9:30am finishing up around 2pm with our BBQ Trailer. As in the past members of Liverpool and Liverpool Greenway may also be able to help.
Annual Circus Extravaganza – Friday 29, Saturday 30, and Sunday 31 May 2020 in the Grounds of Bossley Park Sports Club – members will be needed to help on all days with marshalling and Sausage Sizzle.
The 96th Mungery Picnic Racesare set to race again on Sunday 5th October 2020 (October Long weekend). With one of a few dirt race tracks still left of the NSW country racing scene, Mungery's bush atmosphere will be sure to keep all racing enthusiast's entertained throughout the day. Set on the banks of the Bogan River, 40km South of Narromine, our race day includes a six-race programme with the first race starting around 1:45pm. As part of our Drought Relief Efforts we plan travel to Narromine to assist the local Club who cater at this event.

5:30 pm to 8 pm Free Community BBQ at Narromine CWA Hall, Cnr. Nymagee St & Third Avenue, Narromine (Narromine Shire Council is advertising this on our behalf). There will be Live music, FREE Community BBQ, FREE soft drinks and stalls for Drought support groups

10am: meet a Soul Food Depot & Gallery 1-7 Dandaloo St, Narromine for late breakfast/morning tea
10.30ish: Narromine Rotary will organise a mini bus to take visitors (and as many local Rotarians as will fit) to visit a couple of farms and speak to the farmers. Rotarian Jack Cooper is organising this for us.
Lunchtime: The drive will be planned so that we are near Rotary Park where we can have a BBQ lunch.
