This night will replace our scheduled meeting on Tuesday 16th March, Partners and Guests will be welcome. More details will be provided shortly.

He also related some of the experiences he shared with a number of members on a 4WD Weekend with a group of like-minded individuals.

Youth Service Director Shiva Nandan advised the Club that applications for the Nursing Scholarships we are offering had just closed and that we had at least one confirmed applicant and a number of online enquiries. There is a process to be followed in relation to these applications and once more information is received further details will be provided.

Shiva also advised that RYPEN is going ahead in 2021!

The first camp is at Teen Ranch, Cobbity,
Friday 7 to Sunday 9 May 2021.

The second camp is Telford, Royal National Park
Friday 13 to Sunday 15 August 2021

Application forms will be available closer to the dates.

RYPEN, The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment, is for young people aged 14 to 16 years and caters for teenagers who have shown qualities and application in everyday life which deserve further development.

RYPEN uses the common bonds of learning, co-operation, and friendship to design activities which facilitate trust and self-esteem. RYPEN seeks to broaden each participant’s horizons culturally, socially, and academically, providing the inner foundations for a strong future.

We would like to send two students to each camp so if you know of any suitable candidates please contact Shiva -   shiva@ppcpl.com.au.

LUNAR NEW YEAR - THE YEAR OF THE OX

Year of the Ox

The Ox is the second of all zodiac animals. According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. The Ox was about to be the first to arrive, but Rat tricked Ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived, Rat jumped down and landed ahead of Ox. Thus, Ox became the second animal.
.

BUNNINGS BBQ’s – CROSSROADS CASULA

We had a mixed day on Sunday 7th February when at times the Rotarians on Duty must have outnumbered the Customers at Bunnings.
Thanks to Alan, Pauline, Monique, Sonny, Jim, Gary, Tissa, Rinna, John and Jim.

We had quite a few bread rolls leftover at the end of the day which Jim Rudling managed to donate to a Homeless Shelter so they were not wasted.

Our next BBQ at Crossroads is on Sunday 14 March and then again in Mid – April

All Members can volunteer to help out by working for a few hours, either morning or afternoon.
