Meeting will be in the Elizabeth Room starting at 7pm Sharp and will be followed by a Combined Board Meeting of the 2021/2 and 2022/3 Boards

We welcomed Honorary Member Jock Cimino and had apologies from John Pillay, Tissa Perera, Bob Groat, Gary Halliday and Rinna Ly.
President Ted Mlynarz stressed the importance of incomming Directors to attend the upcoming District Assembly.
PP Sam Capra provided an update of the proposed Fund Raising Function which was discussed in detail.
Club Service Director Peter Beadle updated members on coming events including a change of venue for the pre-meeting dinner on 17 May 2022 - we will meet at 6pm sharp in the Bau Troung Restaurant on the Ground flor of Mounties then move up to the Elizabeth Room for the Members Meeting and Combined Board Meeting.

DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
This year District Assembly will be a one-day workshop held on the 14 Mayat the William Inglis Hotel, 155 Gov Macquarie Drive, Warwick Farm. To register go to the District event calendar.
This year we will are planning an innovative program with many topics to support clubs, in particular boards, working towards a productive and exciting year.

Psychiatrist vs Bartender
As a child, I always had a fear of someone under the bed at night.
So I went to a shrink and told him: I've got problems.
Every time I go to bed I think there’s somebody under it. I'm scared. I think I'm going crazy.”
“Just put yourself in my hands for one year,” said the shrink …. “Come talk to me three times a week and we should be able to get rid of those fears.”
“How much do you charge?” “One hundred fifty dollars per visit,” replied the doctor.
“I'll sleep on it,” I said.
Six months later the doctor met me on the street. “Why didn't you come to see me about those fears you were having?” he asked.
“Well, $150 a visit, three times a week for a year, is $23,400.00. A bartender cured me for $10.00.
I was so happy to have saved all that money that I went and bought a new car.”
“Is that so?” With a bit of an attitude he said, “and how, may I ask, did a bartender cure you?”
“He told me to cut the legs off the bed. Ain’t nobody under there now.”
It’s always better to get a second opinion.
