After the meeting we had a presentation from William Trinh on the assistance AHHA has provided over the last two years mainly in Australia due to the COVID situation both here and in South East Asia. AHHA has not been able to make its Annual Field Trip since 2019 but has continued to fund raise. Recognising the need for Personal Protective Equipment and the difficulties that were being faced in sourcing it AHHA has been able to provide this to many groups and organisations
In response to the disastrous flooding in Central Vietnam AHHA was able to provide nearly 2000 water filtration kits to effected families and a cash donation to assist with the purchase of food.
We then moved into a Club Forum during which a number of things were agreed:
Bunnings Sausage Sizzles
It was agreed to request a booking for the 1st Sunday of each month in 2022, commencing from 6 February
I was agreed that all members would be rostered to man the BBQ during the year with 5 people for both the morning and afternoon shifts
If a member is unable to work their rostered shift it will be their responsibility to arrange a swap of shifts with another member.
Secretary Jim Rudling will prepare and circulate the roster.
Social Media
The Club is to develop and expand its Facebook presence and set up an Instagram Page
John Pillay will arrange for a member from the “Next Gen Club” who are very effective is using social media to attend a Club Meeting in early 2022 as a Guest Speaker
Fund Raising
A Fund-Raising Sub Committee will be established.
Members wishing to be a part of this Committee should contact Ted Mlynarz as soon as possible
Suggestions as to fund raising options and methods will be considered by this Committee
If you have a suggestion, you must be prepared to see it through by being active in planning and running the event.
We had a good rollup for our first almost past COVID Meeting at Mounties with apologies from Jock Cimino, Alan Hall and Les Still.
Unfortunately, our ancient donated technology let us down on the night and we were unable to connect via Zoom with Morgan Adams. We will try to reschedule for February 2022.
