Meeting 19 May 2020 – We had a good attendance for this meeting with members Zooming in and out as they experienced IT and NBN issues,

The fellowship was great.

Board of Directors Meeting

A combined meeting of the 2019/20 and 2020/21 Boards was held on Tuesday, 26^th May 2020 using the ZOOM teleconference link.

A wide range of things were discussed including:

Narromine Drought Relief – A Sub-Committee consisting of Ted Mlynarz, Jim Rudling and Tissa Perera was formed to co-ordinate this proposed visit in October;
Proposed Merger of Liverpool Clubs – Having been approached to consider this the Board appointed a Sub-Committee consisting of Gary Halliday, Ted Mlynarz and John Pillay to participate in future discussions and report back to the Club;
Membership Fees were set at $200 per annum for 2020/1 – invoices will issue shortly;
Turbans 4 Australia approached the Club for financial assistance in providing hampers to the needy. This request was approved on the basis that the support is restricted to people in the Liverpool Area;
Change Over – a tentative date of 7 July 2020 has been set, this year attendance will be restricted to Club members and partners. We are looking for a suitable venue and Members will be advised;
We received an approach from the Liverpool Lions Club (Wayne Skuse) in relation to a Combined Clubs Family information and fun day in 2021. The proposal is to have a fun run from The Power House at Casula to Bigge Park where there will be stalls and entertainment for the family. It is proposed to make it a combined event with all charity clubs in the Liverpool area invited to participate with net funds raised on the day being shared equally between the clubs. We have advised that we are interested in participating providing the date does not clash will our Annual Circus (last half of May 2021).

We expect to receive the 1000 bottles we have ordered shortly and will arrange distribution to the charities operating in our area that we have identified.

Vale John Mula – President 1984/5

We received the sad news that John passed away on Saturday 23 May 2020, during his time with our Club he was a major contributor to the organisation of the Liverpool Art Prize which ran up until 2010. John later transferred to the Liverpool Greenway Club. We have extended our sympathy to his family. Unfortunately, in these COVID-19 days attendance at Funerals is restricted following is information provided by his Family;

Next Meetings

Until further notice and the easing of Corvid-19 restrictions all Club Meetings will be held fortnightly by ZOOM Teleconference, the next will be on 2nd June 2020 at 6:30pm.

Annual Circus has now been rescheduled to be held in May 2021, we still plan to hold it in the Grounds of the Bonnyrigg Sports Club - discussions are being held with Projects for Children (telemarketer), Brophy’s Circus, Fairfield Council and the Club. Updates when available.

Narromine District Drought Relief – Mungery Picnic Races

Our current plan is to visit the District from Friday, 3^rd October to Sunday, 5^th October 2020.

Hopefully we will be able to hold a Free Community BBQ on Saturday 4^th October and the assist the

Members of the Rotary Club of Narromine with their catering and work at the Mungery Picnic Races.

We have agreed to fund “Back to School” sausage sizzles to be held at Trangie Central School and Narromine High Schools on dates to be determined by them.

Accommodation is not available in the Cabins that we have stayed in the past but there are other Caravan Parks and Motels in the area and if you intend to join the 18 representatives of our Club you will need to make your bookings.

Our Members only raffle jackpot will be $90

When next we meet, the wine we offer for prizes is aging gracefully and our supply of exciting chocolates and mystery prizes are just waiting to be won.

Club Change Over dinner will be held on Tuesday, 7 July 2020, 6 for 6:30p at venue to be selected, this year attendance will be restricted to members and partners
