President John Pillay opened the meeting and welcomed Guest Speaker Rachael - Maree O'Toole and Guests Pauline Hall and Monique Bressington.

President John Pillay opened the meeting with the presentation of a Paul Harris Pin (with sapphire) to President Elect Ted Mlynarz - this was to have been presented at our Change Over but was not available.
John then presented a certificate of appreciation to Monique Bressington for her continued an much appreciated support at our Bunnings Sausage Sizzles and in Martin Place when we provide food and clothng to the homeless.
John reported that our next Martin Place "Feed the Homeless" event will be on Monday, 29 July 2024 and then again on Monday 12 August 2024.
Treasurer Sam Capra advised that Annual Membership Fees of $250 were now due and that he will be accepting them. Asst Treasurer Gary Halliday advised that the Club's Financial Reports had now been audited and will be loaded in the Member Documents section of the Club's website.
Club Service Director Greg Gibbs provided an update on Police Officer of the Year for 2024. Nominations have been assessed. We are getting a good number of sponsors.
A committment sheet is being circulated and final numbers for attendance must be known by Tuesday 23 July 2024.
Vocational Service Director Shiva Nandan advised that the Club will provide catering at Warwick Farm on Sunday 28 July 2024 from 9:30 am to 2pm at Matthew Smith Racing Stables at Warwick Farm. As the date coincides with the AHHA BBQ in Freedom Plaza and our trailer is committed, he has sourced the loan of equipment for the day from Precision Paper Coatings..
Nomination forms for our Pride of Workmanship and Community Service Awards on 12 November 2024 will be available shortly..
President Elect Ted Mlynarz reported that the AHHA team going to Vietnam and Cambodia expect to finalise the packing of around 1000 kg of medical supplies and equipment for their upcoming trip over the coming weekend.
Guest Speaker Rachel - Maree O'Toole Community Engagement Officer, James Busby High School spoke to the Club about setting up an Interact Club within the School and what it is hoped to achieve, what involvement is required from our Club. Members agreed to support this Club and will work with Rachel-Maree to establish it. She also spoke of the Breakfast Club at the High School and their need for a freezer to store food. The Club agreed to support her in acquiring this and asked her to come back to us with a quote.
PCYC - NATIONS OF ORIGIN RUGBY LEAGUE TOURNAMENT
Liverpool PCYC had a team from Ashcroft High School play in this tournament representing the Gandangarra Nation.
Our club sponsored this team by helping with the purchase of team uniforms. The team did well over the 2 days. Congratulations to all involved.

RYPEN, The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment, is for young people aged 14 to 16 years and caters for teenagers who have shown qualities and application in everyday life which deserve further development.
RYPEN uses the common bonds of learning, co-operation, and friendship to design activities which facilitate trust and self-esteem. RYPEN seeks to broaden each participant’s horizons culturally, socially, and academically, providing the inner foundations for a strong future.
