We did not hold our normal meeting on Tuesday 5 November instead a large number of members and friends attended the "Mounties Melbourne Cup Function". While the day was enjoyable it may or may not have been successful financially for all. PP Frans Buskermolen won the "Best Dressed Man" competition and donated his prize money to our Narromine Drought Appeal. The Club allowed us to collect for the drought work we are planning during the function and we had buckets spread around the venue. the will be attending the Mounties Melbourne Cup Day from 11 am (see details later). Mounties have kindly allowed us to make a collection for our drought efforts during this lunch.

Planning is underway for Club members to visit the Narromine District on Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 of December.
We are in contact with Narromine Rotary Club and the local branch of the CWA and are consulting with the local council to co-ordinate our efforts.
We plan to:-
Provide hampers to people in need in the Narromine District in conjunction with the local CWA and St Vincent de Paul;
Make donations to the hardship funds maintained by the four schools in Narromine;
On the Saturday have a free BBQ in front of the CWA Building at Narromine, all food and drink to be sourced locally;
Stay in local motels etc and have a dinner on the Saturday Night.
The Club's AGM will be held on 16 November 2019 and nominations are now called for Secretary, Treasurer, International Service Director, Youth & Vocational Service Director and Community Service / Social Director for 2020/2021. Please advise President Sam Capra or Secretary if you wish to stand for these positions.
