President John Pillay reported on his attendance at the District Presidents Meeting and reminded members that the final Feed the Homeless Effort for 2024 will be held in Martin Place, 6 for 6:30pm on Monday 9 December 2024.
Secretary Jim Rudling advised that all 31 participating schools have or will shortly receive the certificates and gift vouchers.
Past President Tissa Perera advised that the establishment of a Rotaract Club at James Busby High School had stalled temporally while a new Head Master was appointed. This is now back on track and it is hoped the Club can be established in the first term of 2025.

A general discussion was had amongst Members present relating to how to involve newer members in Club Activities, procedures for accepting new members and non-participation by members.
President Elect Ted Mlynarz recommended that these matters be further discussed at the Club Forum scheduled for Tuesday, 18 February 2025.
Indicative costs are $65 per person plus drinks at own expense.
Treasurer Sam Capra has circulated a commitment sheet for the End of Year Function at Rocco's on Saturday, 14 December 2024 - if you are attending please confirm with Sam.
FEED THE HOMELESS - MARTIN PLACE
Monday, 9 December 2024 from 6pm
President John Pillay confirmed that the Team will be in Martin Place on Monday, 9 December 2024 providing meals and some Christmas Cheer to the City.s Homeless.
This has been a great effort by members of our Club ( and their families ) who have donated the food, fruit and drinks that we have distributed every month together with clothing and shoes. They have prepared the meals and delivered them hot each month in all weathers.
Annual Circus - 2024
This will be held in the Grounds of Liverpool Catholic Club on Saturday 7 December and Sunday 8 December 2024. We will have three sessions each day comprising of a 40 minute performance and a 30 minute Circus performer workshop.
This will be an open air event - NO TENT - put on by Ashton Entertainment.
There will be food and drink plus rides and games.
BUNNINGS SAUSAGE SIZZLE
We held our final Sausage Sizzle for the year on Sunday, 1 December 2024. The day went from hot to hotter before we copped torrential rain. Luckily we had set up our Club Marquee providing shelter for customers and workers.
Thanks to all those members. their families and friends who worked on the 11 Sundays in 2024 raising vital funds to be used in support of the Community.
WHITLAM ORTHOPAEDIC RESEARCH CENTRE
Members were invited to a lunch at the Ingham Institute Medical Research Centre in appreciation of the Club's support in raising funds to purchase a DXA Scanner for their Musculoskeletal health for culturally and linguistically diverse communities study.
We were officially acknowledged at the lunch and presented with a certificate.
