Youth Service Director Shiva Nandan raised the possibility of our Club supporting the establishment of a Rotaract Club – it was agreed to give in principle support for this.
He also advised that applications are open for The Science Experience for year 9 and 10 students, which will be held in January 2021 - Shiva plans to approach Cecil Hills High and All Saints to see if there is any interest in this event.

Future Community / School Project
As a Club we will be looking to have a Community Project in 2020/1
Our last major project was the Tranquillity Garden as Braeside Hospital some years back. We have had several suggestions including the provision of shade or soft fall equipment at a local school = if members have any ideas please talk with either Community Service Director Tissa Perera or Youth Service Director Shiva Nandan.
We also plan to apply for a Grant from Rotary District 9675 to assist in financing.
Our Members only raffle jackpot will be $100
The wine we offer for prizes has been aging gracefully and our supply of exciting chocolates and mystery prizes are just waiting to be won.
I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I was in the McDonald’s drive-through this morning and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn and started mouthing something because I was taking too long to place my order.
So, when I got to the first window, I paid for her order along with my own. The cashier must have told her what I'd done, because as we moved up, she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed "Thank you.", obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with a kindness.
When I got to the second window, I showed them both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again!
