Dear Rotarians & Friends,
Tuesday 25th October 2016 was a Pride of Workmanship night with an excellent attendance of awardees, their families and friends including Mr. Mike Coffey who is a President of Liverpool Catholic Club is our special guest. Apologies from Joe Cauchi, Geoff Gibbs and Jim Rudling.
We started the night with the presentation of a Paul Harris Fellow to Carol Keogh for her service to our Community. Carol has been a volunteer at Liverpool Hospital for more than 24 years providing valued help to patients of the hospital in a cheerful and pleasant way. Her efforts have comforted many patients and their families.
There were 12 awardees nominated by their employers, club members and the community. Master of Ceremonies – Ted Mlynarz called on Vocational Service Director Dr Bob Groat to introduce the nominees:-
Slavica Sudor and Craig Edwards from Flora International – for giving that little extra as valued employees;
Ron Houghton and Warren Houghton – Bringelly Meats – long term support of the Club and our weekly BBQ;
Seak Ay Heng – a tireless worker for and supporter of local charities;
Taya Morante – a young girl who used her own initiative to fund raise for Australian Aid 4 Cambodia’s School in Siem Reap, Taya has also received the Australian Little Hero Award from Channel 9;
Alain Laxale – for his continued support both through his business and personally of local charities;
James Jackson – Liverpool Catholic Club – James looks after the members at our weekly meetings providing excellent service with a smile – nothing is a trouble;
Leanne Mangan – Marsdens – John Henshaw usurped proceedings at this point time to detail the skills and dedication that Leanne brings to every task she performs;

Mitchell and Renee Stanley (with support from baby Savanna Grace) – Werombi Farm Produce, this young working couple have stepped up to assist in our Saturday Market operations at a time when serious health issues were causing problems.
It was a great night – congratulations to Vocational Services Director Bob Groat for his organisation and Ted Mylnarz for his work as MC. Ted encouraged all guests to become a part of our club to help all great causes in either local or overseas projects. A selection of photos follow:
International: Ted Mlynarz, Bob Groat and Jim Leahy are going to Nepal to see what support we can give to this still earthquake ravaged country.
