Dear fellow Rotarians, friends and families,
Christmas is a time for everybody to bring hope and when we have friends and family visiting, we demonstrate a spirit of togetherness in our club.
Our Rotary traditions have always included bringing cheer to club members, less fortunate people and the needy in our local and international communities.
You’re all faced with tremendous tasks which no-one understands better and more sympathetically than you.
Don’t forget to showcase an act of kindness and assist people in need to give them a word of encouragement because Christmas is a time for giving back, lifting spirits and being surrounded by loved ones. So, we are left to find creative solutions to provide a comfortable life for ourselves and for those who are dependent on us in the community.
This is one of our favourite times of the year in our Rotary Club, shared with family and friends, warmth and good cheer. We’ve spent the past month helping everyone get into the holiday spirit.
Treating one another with love, tolerance, kindness, compassion and caring for the poor and the less fortunate are the best remedy of the club spirits. Together, we can show the world just how grateful we are for our great works done so far.
As we reflect on the year that has passed and approach a new year, I feel deeply grateful for your kind assistance and am looking forward to a successful and optimistic year ahead.
Therefore, on behalf of the Rotary Club of Liverpool West, I would like to say Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May god bless you all and your families with peace and joy in the year ahead.
On Tuesday 13th December we held our annual Christmas Dinner, this year at The Black Rose Café in Liverpool, it was a great night, with excellent food enjoyed by the 30 in attendance.
Our thanks to Anthony and his team for all their efforts. Thanks to Sam Capra for organising the night.
All the best wishes, Rinna Ly
